The Library of Timeless Hours

About

The most powerful story running through your lives is the one you tell yourselves. Make certain that it speaks the truth, that it offers you hope, and that it gives you a way to move forward.”
So spoke the strange storyteller who arrived at Lindi’s bookstore/cafe on the night of Two Moons Rising, a man who was to return hours later to raze her home to the ground and steal her most precious possessions.

Lindi had been hoarding spell scraps for years without remembering why or even how. Though owning magic was illegal, as was almost everything else in her town, she kept the scraps tucked away inside a rare book in her little cafe/bookshop.
That Lindi hid away magic scraps wasn’t the only rule she had broken. The other was something more dangerous, something she couldn’t control: she was a finder who possessed the rare ability to attract the magical lost and missing. Thus, she had attracted the storyteller to her door, a man who would become the harbinger of all that would simultaneously destroy her illusions and help create a new breed of hope. Cranach the storyteller was both a wizard, an exile, and dethroned prince, but as a fellow finder, he was the most dangerous element of all.

Through him, Lindi learns that the townfolk have had their memories sucked away along with their stories, that the entire population exist in a fog induced by the overlords. Either she travels up to the overlord city to reclaim the lost and stolen, or risks losing everything worth living for indefinitely. As a finder, she must find The Library of Timeless Hours, a vault that harbors the missing stories of an entire community, including the memories of their families and very lives. But to set forth on a such a quest means that she must claim the magic she never knew existed, a power that will plunge her into dark places, force her to face vicious adversaries, and possibly rescue the very man who tore her comfortable world apart. Is she up for the challenge?

Lindi is called to find faith, the belief that magic awaits in the strangest places, that sometimes we burn before we find our wings, and that love can be a shapeshifter waiting to claim his true identity. And, perhaps strangest of all, that new friends may be hiding at the bottom of our veggie baskets…
